The Coocoo´s nest down on Grandi peninsula, just a few hundred meters from the city center, is located just next door to Valdís Ice Cream parlour.

This is a trendy, small deli with cosy interior made from wood scraps, it looks kind of rough but great service and fantastic and original food make up for that and give the place a very cosy feel in deed.

On a sunny day it´s nice to sit outside if you don´t mind the traffic but I prefer the inside as I really like the wooden interior, you kind of get the feeling you´re actually outside when you´re inside, weird, I know.

Their logo is pretty cool, it has no lettering.

Their menu is very simple they have themes for each day, for example, Tuesdays are Taco Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays are Pizza nights and so on, pretty clever.

I´ve tried the sourdough pizzas and they are fantastic, this time I went for brunch, I booked a table in advance (highly recommend that). I got a green burrito filled with eggs, potatoes, avocados and sorts of deliciousness, blueberry pancakes on the side and my partner got egg benedicts that were just perfect on homemade bread. I could hardly believe it, this was just the perfect brunch and it wasn´t that expensive compared to other brunches available in town.

Coocoo´s nest gets my best recommendation!
